About Us
Canada's Science and Technology Strategy, Mobilizing Science and Technology to Canada's Advantage, committed to the establishment of a new Science, Technology and Innovation Council reporting to the Minister of Industry.The Council is an advisory body that provides the Government of Canada with external policy advice on science and technology issues, and produces regular national reports that measure Canada's science and technology performance against international standards of excellence.
The Council consists of a Chair and 17 members whose work is supported by a Secretariat housed within Industry Canada.
